St Francis Links Estate

The best Links course in the Eastern Cape and a regular member of the top ten golf clubs in South Africa, an honour only a handful of clubs share. Designed by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus and occupying some of the most prestigious estate in the country, no expense was spared creating what is called “South Africa’s pure links.”

And while St Francis Links may not have been grazing land it suits the description to the tee, so to say. The course is hauntingly beautiful, surrounded indigenous shrub, outlying dunes and a host of wildlife with views that overlook the picturesque St Francis Village houses with their white walls and black thatched roofs.

Fairways are long, immaculate and the greens superb. Well bunkered and with ample water hazards to keep you on your toes the course offers you golfing’s finest. The grounds here embody golfing and epitomise the links format testing you both physically as well as mentally over the 18 holes. Any golfer could go on about St Francis Links for an age, yet it is for you to truly experience it for yourself. Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. It is however, highly recommended that you book your hotel or accommodation in St Francis Bay and your tee-off times well ahead to avoid disappointment.

Facilities are first class and include everything you have come expect of the finest golf clubs and add to that one of the largest practise ranges in the country, over 1000sq.m of driving and putting pleasure. The course also has four tees to choose from catering for a range of golfing ability.
